Great Motivator!

Motivation is the hardest part of running and this app keeps me focused on the short task.

Useless

The app crashes. The Watch app doesnt do a thing. I contacted customer service and was told to make sure my watch is connected to my phone. I responded that it is always connected. No reply received so I emailed again. And again. And again. I still havent received a response. Id like a refund.

Worth it

Never in a million years did I think I would be able to do what this app had allowed me to do! I have lost 40 lbs and am now well on my way to my goal of running a half marathon. When I first started I literally could not complete the 1st day of the 1st week, but I kept trying it until I could finally do it and now I feel better than ever!

Back on the Wagon

I fell off the running wagon when I got pregnant, and now getting back into it, this app has been perfect!

Great running app!

This is a great app and have used it to ease back into running every time I take a break from it. The latest version is crashing a lot, but hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Initially, looking at the scheduled runs, I thought it was going to be impossible and while week 9 was tougher

Couch to 10K app is great for those of us who want to build up distance and stamina without injuring ourselves. Im running greater distances without my usual shin splints. LOVE IT!

Annoying Controls

The program is great for a beginning runner to build stamina, regardless of what level they are starting from. We started at us, able to walk far distances but run zero. Week 3 was a good place for us to start and it feels good to see how much progress we make each week. I do get frustrated with the app itself though. It pauses in my pocket even after I think I have the screen locked and does not accurately track distances ever. Often the screen shifts to the advertisements of the other apps the developers have to sell. When this occurs, I cannot get back to my workout screen. This is so irritating as I wobble behind my running partner trying to figure it out. I often have to shut it all down and reboot. It is essentially the same as the free app. I thought I would be less annoyed with the paid app, but no. I just want the timer and distance to function properly all the time. I will keep using it until I find a more reliable app.

Destroys your battery.

The latest update destroys my battery. While sleeping, it used 40% of my battery last night checking location when the app wasnt even running in the background. I had to go reset the location services to only be running while the app is in use. And the 13.1 app did the same thing, so while I was asleep, I went from full to 18% battery...

Wont let go of location services

I have the app set to allow use of location services while running. However, it initiates GPS tracking immediately opening and wont let go, chewing up battery. You dont even have to be in a run. Just open the app and the blue bar on your phone will appear. You have to kill the app for it to stop.

Great App!

Ive used this app twice to get ready for a half marathon and Ragnar. Stopped running after Ragnar and have another coming up in a few months. Give it a try- love how it works up gradually to get you running a 10K or more!

Good for beginners with running. 4 stars because it is kind of useless on Apple Watch.

Solid App

Update 01/17: This is a solid app for anyone looking to do the C25K program (and beyond). I still havent run with the watch again since I use my garmin to track runs to keep all my data. Now if yall will figure out a way to stop asking if I like the app after every run session. ___ Previous Update: Good Gracious. I finally figured out the notification issue. Now for the watch issue. ____ Ive tested lots of c25k apps. I thought this one was my favorite. Gave me the c25k program and beyond to 10k. Wasnt there a screen lock? It doesnt work in the background - I dont even have the option to make it work in the background. If I start the app and move to my music app, it stops prompting you. If I lock my phone, it stops promoting. It is be the app on the screen and active. Once in a while, Ill get the stray prompt, "you can starting walking." Huh? I was walking. Did I miss a run prompt? It messes with your brain when that happens. The app for the apple watch is worthless. It only refreshes when you lift your arm to look at the screen. I cant remember if I started it on my phone or watch, but the watch app completed the warm up countdown and then just stayed at zero. It never prompted for run or anything. So if its not prompting with a little noise or vibration I cant use it since that is all its supposed to do.

Like It - Needs Improvement

Really great for training. Just wish there were some changes made. 1) No integration with the Health app. Which means that my runs arent logged as workouts. Please do this. 2) The Apple watch up doesnt vibrate. I rarely hear the dings on my phone and would love to get a vibration on my wrist to tell me to start running or walking. 3) The Apple Watch doesnt work on its own. All I want is to be able to "download" the days workout to my Watch and then go for a run without my phone. 4) I wish notifications worked better on the phone. Currently your vibrate needs to be turned off and the app needs to be open to the front and the screen needs to be on. This could be improved. I hope the makers will consider adding these features and making at least a few of these changes. Until then, Ill probably be looking for an alternative.

I am beyond happy with this. For a $1.99 you have a program that running clubs charge over $60 for! It is well researched and have yet to have an injury due to its progression time. Perfect for those wanting to train properly for a fraction of the cost!
